The National Broadband Plan (NBP) is making significant strides in County Cavan, with a substantial investment of €65M to enhance high-speed fibre network infrastructure.
This initiative aims to revolutionize connectivity in the region, facilitating e-learning, e-health initiatives, and remote working opportunities. Construction has begun in the Kilnaleck deployment area, impacting nearly 2,900 premises, while surveying work has been completed in Aucgnacliffe and Kingscourt deployment areas.
Over 3,600 homes, businesses, and farms in Cavan now have access to high-speed connections, with more than 1,300 connections already established. Residents can check the National Broadband Ireland website for the most current updates on connectivity and estimated connection dates.
