The Academy of the Near Future is an exciting STEM program designed to empower students and communities with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. Hosted in partnership with Cavan Connects and Dublin City Council, this innovative initiative brings the future closer to home by combining cutting-edge technology with hands-on learning.

What is the Academy of the Near Future?

The Academy of the Near Future is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) educational program that uses project-based learning to inspire creativity and critical thinking. Through workshops, interactive activities, and collaborative projects, participants explore the technologies shaping our future, including:

Smart Cities: Learn how technology is transforming the way we live, work, and interact in urban environments.
Digital Skills: Gain essential competencies in coding, data analysis, and digital communication.
Global Citizenship: Understand the interconnectedness of the world and the role of technology in driving positive change.
