VEX IQ Workshop
Part of the Coding & Competition program introduces students and educators to the foundations of VEX IQ robotics through an interactive, hands-on session that bridges coding skills with real-world problem-solving.
Participants will explore key STEM Lab Units, practice block-based programming with the VEXcode IQ platform, and begin building and testing their first robot designs. The event emphasizes teamwork, design thinking, and iteration—helping students understand how their coding directly connects to robot performance and competition challenges.
Teachers will also gain insights into how to facilitate mini classroom competitions and integrate the VEX IQ (2nd gen) resources into weekly lessons. By the end of the session, each team will complete a simple autonomous driving challenge and reflect on strategies to improve accuracy and consistency for upcoming modules and competition weeks.
