Cavan Connects Innovation Conference 2026

Cavan Connects Innovation Conference Brings Schools, Business, and Community Together

The Cavan Connects Conference was officially launched by Minister Niamh Smyth TD in Cavan Town Hall, setting the tone for two days of innovation, collaboration, and community spirit. With more than 200 attendees, the event brought together 4 schools, 10 teachers, 12 local businesses, 30 guests, and 15 volunteers for a packed programme of learning and networking.

The first day of the conference focused on STEM workshops, giving participants hands-on opportunities to explore robotics, coding, Tech, and other future-focused skills. The business workshops on the second day sold 254 tickets, highlighting entrepreneurship, innovation, AI, and practical ideas for growth and collaboration.

Across the full event, there were 25 STEM workshops and 20 business workshops, creating space for students, educators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to connect in meaningful ways.

The event showed the value of bringing education and industry into the same space. Schools were able to explore hands-on STEM learning, while businesses shared practical insights, innovation, and career pathways that could inspire the next generation.

It was also a great example of community effort in action. The support of volunteers, guests, teachers, and local businesses helped create an energetic and welcoming atmosphere throughout the conference.

Overall, Cavan Connects demonstrated how powerful collaboration can be when schools, businesses, and the wider community come together with a shared purpose.
