Almost 1200 Cavan homes, businesses, and farms Surrounding Ballyconnell can now connect to fibre broadband on the NBI network
Over 16,000 premises in Co Cavan can avail of a high-speed connection today
National Broadband Ireland (NBI), the company delivering the new future-proofed, high-speed Fibre-to-the-Home network under the National Broadband Plan (NBP) on behalf of the Government, has announced that almost 600 premises in the Kingscourt deployment area can now access high-speed fibre broadband. This includes homes, businesses, and farms in the rural surrounds and townlands of Kingscourt, Enniskeen, and Lisagoan.
As the largest investment in rural Ireland since rural electrification, the National Broadband Plan represents a transformative step for connectivity. County Cavan alone will benefit from €65 million of Government investment, enabling homes, businesses, farms, and schools to thrive in a digital-first economy.
With over 16,000 premises in Cavan already able to connect today and all areas in Cavan marked as "ready to order", this latest development marks another significant step toward bridging the digital divide.
