EU Code Week 2025

Featuring DojoMór 2025, offering hands-on coding experiences for young people.

EU Code Week 2025 in Ireland is an annual celebration of digital creativity and coding, with Cavan actively participating through special workshops and community events.

EU Code Week takes place between 11 and 26 October 2025. It is a grassroots movement that celebrates creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration through coding and technology activities. The main goal is to make programming visible, to show people how ideas come to life with code, and to bring communities together to learn and create.

In Cavan, local groups and schools are organising coding sessions and interactive tech events. Cavan Connects is hosting special activities as part of Code Week, welcoming children, teens, and families to experience digital skills in a fun, supportive setting. These workshops range from block-based coding and robotics to web development, tailored to different levels and interests.

A highlight of the month is DojoMór 2025, a national celebration taking place on 18 October. It features free coding workshops and creative tech challenges for ages 7 to 17. These sessions are available both online and at selected centres, allowing Cavan’s youth to join Ireland’s biggest digital learning festival. Expert mentors will guide young participants through projects in Scratch, app development, and more, fostering confidence and innovation in digital technology.
