Visit Mark to Make to Machine: Clay, Craft & 3D Printed Lace
Louise Swords will present an interactive maker stand exploring the journey from mark-making to modern fabrication. Visitors can take part in free “make and take” sessions using my non-messy air-drying clay, while also experiencing live 3D printing of wearable designs inspired by Carrickmacross lace. The stand will also introduce PLACE (print + lace), a collaborative project between me a creative and a Ukrainian architect, reimagining traditional Irish lace through contemporary digital processes.
